Happy Thanksgiving Panthers!
DPHS Community Member,

Thanksgiving is a time of gratitude and reflection, a time to focus on the good in our lives and remain hopeful of what is yet to come. Having arrived as your principal just a few short months ago, I can tell you how very thankful I am for this opportunity to help educate some pretty incredible students and serve along side such fine educators, coaches, and support staff. To make the point, if all you did was scroll down this single issue of The Panther Post, you will catch a glimpse of the caliber of high school we have here at Dr. Phillips. We are so blessed to offer such a solid, yet varied curriculum, all kinds of clubs & organizations, top sports programs, and more. Moreover, we are part of a leading K-12 U.S. school district which brings many other advantages so many students around America will never get exposed to. Yes, we are indeed quite fortunate here at DP and our motto of Never Less Than Best sure rings true every school day.

I saw the AAA Thanksgiving travel figures the other day and they estimate that nearly 3 million Floridians will be traveling at least 50 miles this week and 90% of those will be driving. Therefore, please be careful out on the roadways and remember to always buckle up. Thank you for reading this Thanksgiving Panther Post edition and I wish you and your family a happy, healthy and relaxing Thanksgiving holiday!

In Panther Pride,

Jackie Ramsey
Principal

It was time for 1st period but first, he had to return Coco & Cooper to their coop. Jaydon says “It was an enjoyable learning experience as I had not seen chickens whose feathers are soft like fur.”
