The Peter R. Marsh Foundation is founded on the idea that private citizens who selflessly and quietly serve others are the most valuable citizens of their communities. Maya is the embodiment of silent service. She selflessly dedicates her time and efforts to help our school community and our community at large. Maya works hard to ensure that the work she does is needed and meaningfully impacts those who benefit. We are very proud of you Maya!

Debate Team competes in South Florida
The debate team recently went to Weston, Florida 4/8-4/10 and brought home not only an amazing experience but some quality results:

* In Public Forum, we took two teams, and advanced the team of Nicole Turelly and Kristen Alvey to Octafinals (top 16)

* In Lincoln Douglas, we took five entries and advanced three of them to elimination rounds:

* In Octafinals, Avery Kaak placed (top 12). In Quarterfinals (top 8), Belinda Rodriguez- Vasquez placed top 8. In Semifinals (top 4), Benjamin Huggins placed.

* In Original Oratory, the team took two competitors and advanced Hannah Horne to the Semifinals (top 12).

Overall, it was a very good showing from the team at the JV state championship, and one that each individual can be extremely proud of. The team wishes to extend special thanks to the parents that made things possible, and to Junior(s) Adrian Duran (LD) and Kyle Stamm (Congress) for performing coaching and judging duties and without whom such results would not have been possible. The team would also like to extend a thank you to administration for making such a trip possible - your support is and continues to be invaluable.

If you have any interest in the team and wish to join, please reach out to Mr. Chmielewski at [email protected] He can also be found in 3-109.
