In April, Dr. Dwinita Mosby Tyler announced that she was stepping back from the Community Steering Committee to focus on her health. Her leadership and vision were instrumental during the early stages of this project as she helped shape a steering committee that would be thoughtful about racial equity when making recommendations for the golf course. Dr. Tyler recommended that Dr. Ryan Ross (pictured) be selected as her replacement for this work.

Dr. Ross was appointed to lead the Urban Leadership Foundation of Colorado by Former Mayor the Honorable Wellington E. Webb. He previously served as the dean of student development and retention with the Community College of Denver. Dr. Ross holds a Ph.D. in educational leadership and innovation from CU Denver, has received numerous humanitarian and leadership awards, previously served on the Denver Parks and Recreation Advisory Board, and most recently, helped facilitate crucial social justice conversations around policing in Aurora, CO.
