Greetings:
It is with great honor, pride and humility that I continue to serve the students, parents, and community members of District 1. As the school year comes to a close, I want to again thank and commend you for your work in improving the learning and lives of our students and uplift of our community. Along with many challenges, this school year has also seen tremendous success and continued improvements in our district and I am extremely proud of the work that is being done by our teachers, district and school leaders, parents, and community stakeholders. It has also brought with it our serving witness to challenges and tragedies near and far, and our collective resolve and resilience to rise above them all.
Congratulations to all of our graduates and the amazing Class of 2023. Go onward, go upward, and continue to move our community, nation, and world forward.
During these summer months, we want to continue to encourage our students to prepare and remain engaged in educational enrichment so that we can keep this momentum and continue on our journey to improve the lives of our youth. Thank you for all you have done and continue to do. I look forward to your continued support, encouragement, and efforts.

Miami Norland Senior High School

On June 2, 2023, Dr. Gallon gave a huge congratulations to the Class of 2023 of the Miami Norland Senior Vikings. Here is an excerpt from his Commencement remarks:
“Go out into this world, and see it, embrace it, and use it as the canvas that it is and paint the masterpiece of freedom it must be, the blank pages that they are and write the story of truth, the story of equality, the story of equity, and the story of love which reflects the best part of our humanity.”-Dr. Steve Gallon III

Dr. Gallon had a great start of the morning at the 8th Grade Promotional Ceremony for Linda Lentin K-8 Center on June 5, 2023 at North Miami Senior High.
He was honored to have served as Keynote Speaker as the students prepare to transition to high school.

“To pioneer is to develop, start. To begin, launch, or originate. You now have a pathway to pioneer a new place for your lives, to pioneer a pathway of prosperity, possibility, and success. You see a pioneering spirit is in your DNA…”
