The American Dental Association recommends a child’s first well-baby check when the first tooth erupts. This is a good opportunity for parents to ask questions and seek advice.
We like to see children around the age of two for a visit to “get a ride in the chair”, quickly “count” the teeth and polish if all is going well, and get a new toothbrush and a prize. This positive experience sets the tone for a lifetime of preventative care and a healthy mouth. If you have any questions about scheduling your child’s first visit, please give us a call or ask your hygienist at your next appointment.
