Academic Freedom Under Fire:

Dr. Wielicki Shares His Story on Climate Debrief Podcast

Launched to bring clear, evidence-based conversations on climate science directly to you, the CO2 Coalition's Climate Debrief podcast provides a much-needed platform for balanced, science-driven discussions.

Our latest episode, “Earth Science Professor in Exile with Dr. Matthew Wielicki,” is a powerful interview. Dr. Wielicki—an accomplished geoscientist, former assistant professor at the University of Alabama, and post-doctoral researcher at UCLA—shares his courageous journey.

Drawing from his family’s escape from communist Poland, he highlights how personal experiences with suppressed freedoms deepened his commitment to academic integrity and open scientific debate.

Dr. Wielicki discusses the growing indoctrination in our institutions of learning, where climate alarmism often overshadows balanced data interpretation. He addresses the disconnect between actual scientific findings and dominant public narratives, the rise of climate anxiety among students, and the suppression of dissenting voices.

He emphasizes the urgent need to restore merit-based systems, encourage critical questioning, and reject one-sided storytelling that limits policy decisions on energy, agriculture, and innovation.

His message is clear: True progress comes from examining all evidence, fostering intellectual freedom, and focusing on practical environmental stewardship rather than fear.

At the CO2 Coalition, we stand firmly for scientific truth and human flourishing. Episodes like this one equip us to push back against misinformation and promote policies grounded in reality.

We are Defending CO2 in Court

and We Need Your Help

The Coalition’s March 20th motion to intervene in the EPA's repeal of the so-called Endangerment Finding is a response to environmental organizations and several states that filed legal challenges to the EPA repeal, which was announced in February. The agency had concluded that it did not have authority under the federal Clean Air Act to regulate carbon dioxide.

The CO2 Coalition has decided to take aggressive action and use the legal system to fight the economically destructive policies that threaten you and your family.

This is our mission, but the expense of the battle has created a significant budget deficit. Your contribution would help defray these costs. We need you to join us in this effort today.
