Dear Patients, It has been my pleasure to serve our community for the past 47 years as an ophthalmologist. I have had the privilege of meeting a great many people and developing lifelong friendships with many patients. Now it is time for me to start planning my retirement and merge my practice with another exceptional ophthalmologist and longtime colleague, Dr. Richard Foulkes. My staff, including Margaret and Pam, will also join this practice, making the transition a very familiar one for our patients. I will be serving in a consulting capacity, as needed, in this state of the art facility located just 1 mile west at 477 Butterfield Rd, Suite 101, Lombard, IL 60148. Dr. Foulkes' office has the latest ophthalmic equipment including an on-site Excimer laser, used for LASIK and other corneal procedures. Dr. Foulkes and I have worked together frequently during the past 25 years, he is talented, compassionate and shares my enthusiasm and zest for life. For additional information about Dr. Foulkes and his innovative ophthalmic practice, please visit his website at www.glassesfree.com. Over the past five decades, I have watched many families in the area grow and have shared many of life's challenges and joys with hundreds of patients, across generations. I appreciate your loyalty throughout the years and will take the memories of all that I have experienced with me into my retirement. Please know that your medical records are safely on file at his office location and remain confidential. If you decide to take on a new physician outside of this new office, then you can follow the traditional routes to have your records transferred. I look forward to this new practice union with Dr. Foulkes, as does my staff. It has been my honor and privilege to care for you over the years. I will now have the opportunity and free time to further pursue my varied interests and passions. Sincerely yours,
Robert E. Gorsich, M.D.
