Monterey Park Police Department Merit Badge Day Success!

Thank you the Monterey Park Police Department for once again hosting a successful Merit Badge Day! A special thank you to Police Chief Scott Wiese for his unwavering support for Scouting and the Learning for Life programs.  Scouts learned about crime prevention techniques, traffic laws, and how to locate and collect latent fingerprints. Keep your eyes peeled for the announcement of Course No. 4 tentatively scheduled for February/March 2024.

Pio Pico Diamond Heist Dinner

Thank you to all who joined us in honoring the Whittier Police Department. The interactive diamond heist dinner was something we will definitely be talking about for some time to come. Thank you to all the organizers who made this event possible as we continue to bring Scouting and Exploring to today's youth.

Short Term Camp Admin Training

Do you want to be more involved with your local District or Council Camping Operations? Each short-term camp must have a short-term camp administrator. This person is responsible for ensuring that the planned camp complies with the NCAP Short-term Camp Standards. Join us at our upcoming training to become a Short Term Camp Administrator. Each District should have at least 4 trained leaders.

Participants must be 21 years of age or older.

Upcoming Holiday Schedule

The Greater LA Scouting Cushman Watt Scout Center will be closed for the upcoming holidays. Veterans Day, November 10, Thanksgiving, November 23 -24, and Winter Break, December 22-29.

Arcadia Store Holiday Closures are as follows November 23 - 27 in observance of Thanksgiving. Winter Break We will be closing at noon on December 23rd and opening regular hours on December 26th. Closing at noon on December 30th and opening regular hours on January 2nd.
