Join us in helping the Altadena community green and re-open Loma Alta Park—the first public park to return after the devastating Eaton Fire. Let’s bring new life to this cherished space together!

This special Earth Day event is proudly hosted by the County of Los Angeles Department of Parks and Recreation and the Los Angeles County Parks Foundation (LACPF).

Volunteer Dates:

Saturday, April 19 & Saturday, April 26

Time: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Volunteers must be 14 or older. Youth ages 14–17 must be accompanied by an adult.

Proud Moments: From Explorer to Officer

There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing our Explorers achieve their dreams. Just last month, one of our own—former Explorer Sergeant Emmanuel Montes from Post 550, CHP Santa Fe Springs—made the leap from Explorer to Officer! Officer Montes was an outstanding Explorer, serving at numerous community events, completing Level 3 CHP Explorer training in 2023, and playing a key role in leading meetings. His dedication and leadership left a lasting impact on our post. Congratulations, Officer Montes! We’re proud of you and excited to see all you’ll accomplish in this next chapter.
