Our workshop brought together County and State engineers, the Director of Public Transportation, the Executive Director of the Palm Beach Transportation Agency, the Director of Public Safety for seniors, the School Board Administrator of Traffic Safety for students, representatives of the Florida Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles, the Florida Highway Patrol and the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s office, as well as concerned residents to strategize on 21^st Century transportation needs.

Coding with Tech Toys: Bee-Bot® Summer Edition

Learn concepts of control, logic and programming with this challenge. Design a fun obstacle course for a Bee-Bot® and then put it to the test! Grades 1-5. (60 min.) Call (561) 894-7500 to preregister.

The annual Back to School PBC! event will be held on Saturday, July 22^nd, at four locations throughout the county, serving approximately 10,000 students.

On Friday, July 21^st, volunteers will also be needed to assist with the following event set-up activities: backpack and resources inventory and organization on tables by gender and grade; setup of vendors and service providers areas, check-in and troubleshooting stations; placement of signs, banners, stanchions, and other miscellaneous items throughout the site; and other tasks as needed. Tasks involve bending, picking up boxes, moving tables, and more. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and unpack boxes.
