From the Desk of Commissioner Maria Sachs
Traffic Workshop
Traffic and its impact on a community is an important factor in its growth. Some say it actually defines a community. Whether it’s the Autostrada, the Autobahn, a Freeway, Turnpike or the Long Island Expressway, highways connect people and make a community.

Palm Beach County is at a defining point in our future. Either we develop into a strip mall suburbia with endless miles of roadways, or we develop into communities connected to live, work, learn and play. The choice is ours and the time is now!
June 21 Traffic Workshop
Our workshop brought together County and State engineers, the Director of Public Transportation, the Executive Director of the Palm Beach Transportation Agency, the Director of Public Safety for seniors, the School Board Administrator of Traffic Safety for students, representatives of the Florida Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles, the Florida Highway Patrol and the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s office, as well as concerned residents to strategize on 21st Century transportation needs.

It is up to all of us to implement a plan for our future growth.

Meet Bandit

I was brought to the shelter as a stray. I might be part kangaroo because I love to jump. I am a very active boy. I got to play with other dogs here at the shelter and have a gentle play style. "I would probably do well with another dog at home". Come in today and ask to meet me.
