Student and Community's Guide to Events and Opportunities | December 3, 2018
Greetings!
The semester is quickly winding down, but Student and Community Involvement is still here bringing you tons of great events to help you de-stress during these last couple of weeks. Remember, stay hydrated with H2O, get plenty of sleep and exercise to keep you chill as you finish out the semester.
The University Programming Council uses your student activity fee to plan events such as the RC Racing Tournament, UPCinemas, Tunes and Noon, Make and Takes and more. To learn more about UPC or to suggest an event, attend one of their UPC General Body Meetings .
12/3 Rev your engines
Challenge your friends to some RC Racing on Monday , December 3 from 6-10pm. It's free, courtesy of University Programming Council .
12/4 Visual Couture shows out!
Visual Couture takes pride in modeling couture fashion from collections featured in New York, DC and Baltimore fashion weeks. Visual Couture has a popping show planned for you on Tuesday starting at 4 p.m. in the Atkinson Room. This event is free.
12/4 NPHC presents Love the Culture

Frostburg State's NPHC chapters will entertain at the Love the Culture: The NPHC Experience (Yard Show) – Tuesday , Dec 4  from 7-9 p.m. Tickets are FREE for FSU students ONLY - online or at the Lane University Center Box Office..

12/6 S P E C T R U M hosts a drag show on Thursday, December 6 starting at 4 p.m. in the Atkinson Room. This event is free.
12/6 African Student Association hosts dancing with the ASA Stars
on Thursday, December 6 from 6:30-9 p.m.

Dancing with the stars is a dance competition just like the TV show. The show will consist of a celebrity (a rep from your favorite org) paired with a professional ASA dancer. Each pair will compete in 3 rounds to determine the winner.
12/6 Paparazzi Perfect models presents
Pop Up Show
Meet the Perfects, aka Paparazzi Perfect's models at their Pop Up Show on Thursday, December 6 at 7 pm in Gira CCIT 397.

Is stress getting you down as the semester's end approaches? Lane University Center's AstraZeneca Fitness Center has you covered! Take advantage of the state-of-the-art facility equipped with six treadmills, four cycles, eight ellipticals, one stepper and a modular multistation weight system.

Students who attended the Etiquette Dinner learned the proper technique for eating soup.
They also learned how to hold their wine glass during a formal setting.
Mastering how to drink coffee or tea in a formal setting is a must in today's business world.
12/10 Mortal Kombat Tournament
The Lane University Center Game Room will host a Mortal Kombat X gaming tournament on Monday , November 5, 2018, at 6 p.m. Interested students can sign up in the LUC Game Room to participate for a chance to win prizes.
12/10 De-Stress before finals
Late@Lane is mixing it up with
De-Stress December complete with BINGO, massage chairs, an illusionist, breakfast food, raffles and holiday movies. This event is free for all students and will be held throughout Lane on Monday, December 10 from 9 p.m. - Midnight.
