HOUSING & RES LIFE | Fall Housing Reminders

Upperclassman students should have already completed their housing for the upcoming academic year. If they have not done so already, the Housing Department will place these students by the end of June. Remember, there is a three-year housing requirement.

New incoming first-year students should expect an email from Housing by mid-July with their placements.

STUDENT ACCOUNTS | Important Updates!

Tiffin University has launched a new student billing and payment system designed to make managing your student account easier and more convenient. Students can now view bills, enroll in payment plans, sign up for direct deposit e-refunds and add authorized users — such as parents or guardians — all in one place through TU-Colleague Self-Service. We encourage all students to log in and complete their setup before the start of the semester to ensure a smooth billing and refund process.

OBBBA INFO | For Parent PLUS Loan Borrowers

The One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA), signed on July 4, 2025, makes major changes to federal student aid programs. Many of those changes will be implemented on July 1, 2026, and federal guidance is still being updated.

We wanted to let you know that Parent PLUS loans for students, whose loans first disburse after July 1, 2026, are subject to an annual limit of $20,000 and an aggregate borrowing limit for Parent PLUS loans of $65,000.

Reducing your loan now may help:

  • Lower total repayment costs
  • Reduce interest accrual
  • Eliminate a lack of Parent PLUS loan eligibility later in the student's degree program

If you would like to adjust your loan amount, please email finaid@tiffin.edu to lower the loan prior to disbursement. If you would like to discuss this further, we are happy to help you review borrowing options.
