April 2026 | Springing into summer!

As the academic year comes to a close, the faculty and staff at Tiffin University want to express our gratitude for the opportunity to work with your student. It’s truly rewarding to see students set goals and accomplish them.

If your student is graduating, congratulations! We look forward to hearing about all they achieve in the future. If they’ll be returning in the fall, we wish them a wonderful summer and look forward to welcoming them back.

EXAM SCHEDULE | April 27-30

Good luck to our students as they get ready for final exams! Want to know the schedule so you can start planning? Check it out below...

CAMPUS IS BUZZING | Make sure your Dragon is out and about!

There are so many events happening during this time of year! Make sure your Dragon is out there, getting involved and having a little fun!! (Ok, they can still learn and have fun at the same time.)

A NEW TRADITION | The Hatchstone

Next time you are on campus, you might notice something new in the Hayes Courtyard! We are excited to celebrate our new Hatchstone with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday, April 24 at 11:45 a.m., just before Springfest.

The Hatchstone is a large egg-shaped boulder in the courtyard that will launch a new TU tradition centered on belonging and connection! At the close of RISE Week each fall, first-year students will be invited to sign their names on the stone. Students can snap a photo of their signature as a keepsake before it remains on display for about a week, symbolizing their entry as new “hatchlings” into the TU family and their journey along the Dragon Pathway to graduation. After that first week, the stone will be repainted and used throughout the year as a rotating canvas for approved messages celebrating student engagement, athletics and other initiatives.

The Hatchstone project was made possible through generous donor support, including the donation of the boulder by National Limestone in Carey, Ohio, and installation support from Clouse Construction, which provided transportation, labor and materials. A donor recognition plaque will be installed to honor both partners.

Stop by and check it out!

GRADUATION DAY POINTERS | Important things to remember

We've compiled a list of very important things to remember throughout the big day. Again, share with friends and family!

First and foremost, please remain throughout the ceremony to honor the graduates and this momentous occasion.

Leaving early can be distracting to both the audience and the graduates. By staying through the entire ceremony, you show respect and honor your student’s dedication and hard work. Remember, the conferral of degrees is a key moment and a significant part of the celebration.

Keep a Respectful Atmosphere

We’re excited to celebrate our graduates and want each name to be heard clearly as it’s announced. To maintain the ceremony’s respectful tone, please avoid loud cheering, air horns or other disruptions. Don’t forget to silence alarms, phones and other devices to ensure the event proceeds smoothly for everyone.

Arrive Early at the Heminger Center

We recommend guests head straight to the Heminger Center, as seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Allow yourself plenty of time to arrive, get settled and secure a seat to fully enjoy the ceremony. Arriving late may disrupt the event or cause you to miss important moments, so please plan accordingly.

Dress and Be Prepared

Graduation day can be busy, so dress appropriately for the weather to stay comfortable while celebrating your student’s achievements. The Heminger Center may get warm, so consider bringing a small, handheld fan to help stay cool throughout the event.

Last-Minute Gifts

Starting at 1:00 p.m., flowers, graduation t-shirts with student names, and teddy bears will be available for purchase inside the Heminger Center. These make perfect last-minute gifts for your graduate.

Accommodations and Restaurants

The City of Tiffin may be a little busy the day of graduation. Plan ahead and check out our website and the list of accommodations and restaurants we've already compiled for you!

CELEBRATE THIS TIME | Your Dragon deserves it!

We cannot wait to celebrate at commencement with our Dragons, their families and friends - but the excitement and fun begin long before the walk across the stage. Throughout the month of April, there are events dedicated to preparing and celebrating the upcoming special day. Make sure you let them know they need to take the time to celebrate this huge accomplishment in their lives!
