We hope our Dragon Families have been soaking up the summer sun and making the most of these sunny days - whether it’s been backyard BBQs, poolside fun or dazzling fireworks lighting up the night sky.

Before we know it, it’ll be time to welcome our students back to campus and kick off another amazing year at Tiffin University. Below, you’ll find all the important details you need for move-in and back-to-school preparations. And as always, if you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out to us at studentsuccess@tiffin.edu. We’re here to help!

TRAVELING THIS SUMMER? | #ThroughDragonEyes

Summer is all about making memories, exploring new destinations and embracing new experiences. Whether you’re traveling internationally, enjoying a vacation, discovering a new city, completing an internship or staying local, we’d love to follow along through #ThroughDragonEyes.

Capture photos or videos from your summer adventures and share them on social media by tagging @tiffinu and using #ThroughDragonEyes for a chance to be featured on Tiffin University’s social media channels. You may also submit your content directly to Ryan St. Myers at StMyersRD@tiffin.edu.

When submitting, please include your name, graduation year and a short note about where you are or what you’re doing. We’re excited to see how TU students are spending their summer. Travel safely, and Go Gons!

FALL MOVE-IN WEEKEND | Save the date

Fall move-in will be here before we know it!

New students move in on Thursday, August 20, and returning students move in on Saturday, August 22.

This year, RISE Week (starting Friday, August 21) is focusing on readiness, information, support and engagement - and all events are open to all TU students, both new and returning.

For a complete list of events, go to our Move-In and RISE Week page at tiffin.edu!

BILLING INFORMATION | To-dos before you arrive

Tiffin University's fall 2026 billing statement has been sent to your student and we wanted to make sure you have viewed and made payment arrangements.

It is required that any balance must be paid in full by AUGUST 1 - and if the balance is not paid, housing and fall schedules will be canceled. Students will not be allowed to move in or go to classes until it is paid.

For more information, go to

tiffin.edu/student-support/office-of-student-accounts/payment-options.

If you have any questions on the best option for your family, please reach out to the Office of Student Accounts at studentaccounts@tiffin.edu or by phone at 419.448.3052, or the Office of Financial Aid at finaid@tiffin.edu or by phone at 419.448.3279.

STUDENT ACCOUNTS | Important updates!

Tiffin University has launched a new student billing and payment system designed to make managing your student account easier and more convenient. Students can now view bills, enroll in payment plans, sign up for direct deposit e-refunds and add authorized users — such as parents or guardians — all in one place through TU-Colleague Self-Service.

We encourage all students to log in and complete their setup before the start of the semester to ensure a smooth billing and refund process.

OBBA INFO | For Parent PLUS Loan Borrowers

The One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA), signed into law on July 4, 2025, includes significant changes to federal student aid programs. Many of these updates will take effect on July 1, 2026, and federal guidance is still evolving.

We want to make you aware that Parent PLUS Loans for students whose first loan disbursement occurs after July 1, 2026, will be subject to a $20,000 annual limit and a $65,000 aggregate borrowing limit.

Reducing your loan amount now may help you:

  • Lower total repayment costs
  • Reduce interest accrual
  • Avoid potential Parent PLUS Loan eligibility issues later in the student’s degree program

If you would like to reduce your loan amount before disbursement, please email finaid@tiffin.edu. If you would like to discuss your options, we are happy to help review your borrowing choices with you.

For more information about changes related to the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, please visit tiffin.edu/admissions/financial-aid/federal-student-loan-updates.

FAFSA | There's still time...

The 2026–2027 FAFSA is now open and available at fafsa.gov.

Students should complete this FAFSA if they plan to attend during the summer 2026, fall 2026, and/or spring 2027 semesters.

If you have any questions or need help completing your FAFSA, please contact the Financial Aid Office at 419.448.3279 or finaid@tiffin.edu.

STUDENT INSURANCE INFO| For athletes and international students

All student-athletes and International students must complete the health insurance waiver/verification process for primary health insurance. The university has partnered with our Insurance Broker, Gallagher Student Insurance, to manage the waiver process. Several reminder emails from Gallagher about completing your insurance waiver have been emailed. If you have not completed your waiver yet, please go to one of those emails and click the waiver link in that email message.

You should then be automatically logged in to your Gallagher student portal. If you are not automatically logged in, you will log in using your TU email address and password. go.gallagherstudent.com/Universities/Tiffin University/Home

Student-Athletes: You will also have several medical forms that need to be filled out and completed prior to arriving on campus. Our Sports Medicine Team utilizes an online records system for you to complete these forms.

Students who are new to TU (Freshmen and Transfers) should utilize this document for guidance on which forms need completed: https://gotiffindragons.com/documents/2024/7/1/24_25_Incoming_ATS_Instructions_.pdf

HOUSING | Reminders for the upcoming year

Living on campus is exciting! As family members, you play a very important role in your student’s life and - we appreciate what you do for them. Below is some information regarding Residence Life and Housing Operations that may be helpful as you and your student prepare for move-in next month.

  • Move-in for new students is on Thursday, August 20, however, students involved with pre-season activities (athletics, music, etc.) might have earlier move-in dates and will receive this information directly from their Coach or Arts Director.

  • At the beginning of each semester, there is a two-week housing freeze. During this time, no room changes can be made. Once the freeze has passed, students may meet with the Director of Housing Operations, Jill Aldrich to talk about possibly moving (all room changes must be approved by Jill Aldrich at housing@tiffin.edu).

  • As you and your student begin to consider what items to bring to campus, take a look through our recommended packing list here.
