Dear St. George Families,
Happy New Year! It's hard to believe that we have already reached the mid-point of the school year. I hope that everyone brings a "can do" attitude and enthusiasm for the balance of the school year. These coming months are some of the most important months of the school year. With that said, there are questions that arise about upcoming events as families ready themselves for the upcoming months.
One of those things is the School Calendar for the next school year. We always try to give you this information as soon as possible. For everyone's sake we try our best to coordinate with the EBR School calendar. As of today they have not finalized their calendar for the upcoming school year. I believe that it is pretty safe to assume that the next year's school calendar will be similar to years past.
Re-registration for the 2020-2021 school year will be begin on January 24th and continue through January 31st. Late registration will begin on February 1st. Families requesting tuition assistance may pick up the forms from the parish office beginning tomorrow.
Our annual School/Parish Auction is coming up on February 1st at L'Auberge. I hope that everyone in our school community will be able to attend. This important fundraiser helps SGS deliver first rate programs and make facilities upgrades that wouldn't be possible otherwise. See you there!!

ATHLETIC DRAGON NEWS
Mandatory Spring Sports Meeting has been moved to Sunday January 26th at 5:00pm in the Gym
If you have a child interested in participating in any of the following sports please have at least
1 parent attend the meeting
Girls Volleyball:
Girls volleyball is open to any girl in the 5th-8th grade,
the deadline to sign up is tomorrow,
1/10/2020
. Please fill out the following google form if you think your daughter is interested in
playing, specific tryout dates and times will be emailed next week.
Boys Baseball:
We will have 1 combined boys baseball team this year play in the Westside League.
Games will be played from Feb. 7th- March 29th.

Our 2020 St. George Boys Basketball Varsity Tournament is scheduled for next weekend,
January 16-20!
Make plans to come out and support your Dragons compete for the tournament championship!

GIRLS ON THE RUN
- We will be hosting Girls on the Run (GOTR) teams this spring.
- GOTR is a wonderful program that empowers girls in 3rd through 5th grades while preparing them for a 5K run.
- This is a 10 week program and will practice from 3:00 - 4:00 on Mondays and Wednesdays.
- Lottery - January 15
- Season begins the week of January 27
- 5k - April 26
