Dear St. George Families,

Every school has its own culture, values and beliefs. Educational research points out that in the most effective schools, parents, teachers and students agree on the purpose of the school. If St. George School is going to be most effective parents, teachers and students must focus on our goal of "Placing God First in all Things" and providing the best education possible within a caring, loving environment reflecting our Catholic values.

Parents are a teacher's most important resource in reinforcing what we want children to learn. We are very proud of our student's accomplishments both in and out of the classroom. Last week our students really showed our cultural attitude of academic excellence in the classroom and in service to others.

This week you will receive your students ACT Aspire scores. The scores for St. George students are outstanding. We are blessed with God's many gifts, excellent teachers, motivated students and caring, dedicated parents. Working together as a team, we have created a culture of success in a caring, nurturing distinctly Catholic environment.

Growing in Holiness through Prayer, Sacraments and Service is very evident at St. George School. Our middle school students served as guides for our PreK and K students who rode the bus (many for the first time). Last week, Allie Macha cantored at the Educators Gathering and the Bishop remarked how moved he was by her angelic voice.

The school year is in full swing. We really do have great kids at St. George who come from great homes. Thank you for sending us your great kids every day! May God bless you and your family.

God bless,
Jack Nelson
