Prayer for Beginning a New School Year
Father, we thank you for the opportunity to begin the 2019-2020  school year. We ask you to bless the faculty, the students, and St. George Parish & School families. We pray that you will guide us in all ways and that we will seek your will in everything that we do. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord.   Amen.

The 2019-2020 school year is off to a terrific start! A special "welcome" to the new students and their families! In addition, a warm "welcome back" to all the St. George students and their families from last year!

A new school year is filled with high anticipation and a rainbow of possibilities. As creations of God the Father, each of us has been gifted with special talents that we may choose to use to shape the direction and focus of our interactions with others throughout the year. When we embrace and gift others with the best of us, we positively impact the lives of others at school, at home, and in the community.

Mother Teresa of Calcutta said, "Keep the joy of loving God in your heart and share this joy with all you meet." May the Holy Spirit guide us to have the courage to use our gifts and talents to make St. George Parish & School a welcoming and vibrant community of faith.

God bless,
Jack Nelson
