The Feast of St. Joseph was celebrated at our school liturgy today. After the liturgy Fr. Yi and the 7th grade students processed to the Kleinpeter Activity Center where the altar was blessed. Students from the 3rd quarter Catholics in Action class presented the traditional "Tupa Tupa" (Knocking for St. Joseph) skit in which the Holy Family seeks food and shelter from a welcoming family. The Catholics in Actions class also helped cut out and color the St. Joseph's prayer cards for the lower grades.

The Holy Family and 7^th graders were served a snack by the welcoming family. The altar was then opened to the rest of the school community for viewing. Visitors were invited to leave their intentions in a basket for St. Joseph's intercession.

Many thanks to the 7th grade students who brought in all the food items for the altar. At the conclusion of the altar visits the food was packaged and donated to The Missionaries of Charity's Queen of Peace Shelter and Soup Kitchen at St. Agnes.

St. George Church provides limited funds to offer tuition assistance for parish families who are experiencing financial difficulties. This assistance is available to families registered in

St. George Parish who have demonstrated a desire for Catholic education at St. George Catholic School for their children and who, because of extraordinary circumstances, can demonstrate a need for tuition assistance.

Applications for Tuition Assistance are obtained from the St. George Church Office, 7808 St. George Drive, Baton Rouge. The completed applications should be returned to the St. George Church Office in an envelope addressed to the “Tuition Assistance Committee”. Applications must be submitted by March 31 prior to the school year for which tuition assistance is requested. Assistance is given for one school year. A new application must be submitted each year.

7th & 8th Grade Boys Intramural Volleyball:
