Final Report Cards
Final report cards will be sent home with students on Tuesday, May 23.
Report cards and personal belongings for students not in attendance on Tuesday, May 23 may be picked up from the school office during summer office hours.
Report card and personal belongings not picked up during the summer will be sent home with students during the second week of the new school year.
Summer Reading
Summer Reading in preparation for the 2023-24 school year
Kindergarten: Incoming Kindergarten students should read or be read books of their choice. Color one picture on the Kindergarten summer reading log for every 20 minutes of reading completed during the summer break. Bring the summer reading log to school on the first day of Kindergarten.
1st grade: Incoming first graders should read or be read 5 books of their choice. Students will choose one of the 5 books to complete the book report provided to be turned in on the first day of school.
Students entering the grades below are expected to have completed the summer reading book by the first day of school. Activities and grades will be given at the start of school based on the novels and books listed below.
2nd grade: The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein
3rd grade: A Bad Case of Stripes by David Shannon
4th grade: Skinnybones by Barbara Park
5th grade: The Friendship War by Andrew Clements
6th grade: Bridge to Terabithia by Katherine Paterson
7th grade: A Night Divided by Jennifer Nielsen
8th grade: Refugee by Alan Gratz
