Yearbooks for the 2021-2022 school year were sent home on Tuesday. We do have extras this year. If you want to purchase one, please send $50 in an envelope to Mrs. Cooper's attention.

Students in 3rd - 8th grade are allowed to purchase seconds (entrée is $2.75 additional to the lunch price of $3.30).

• Parents, please speak with your student if you have a restriction on buying extra servings.
• Students wishing to purchase extra sales must have money in their meal accounts.
• If you do not wish for your student to purchase extras in the cafeteria, please complete this form and return it to the school cafeteria.
• Parents may also send a check to school as payment for meals. Please note that all accounts must be current.

Inaugural Dragon Shootout at the Fair!!

The St. George Athletic Association is excited to partner with the St. George Fair Committee in hosting the inaugural Dragon Shootout at this year's fair on the new middle school basketball court!  

All 3rd-8th grade boys and girls are eligible to participate in this event. Please visit https://www.st-george.org/dragon-shootout for more information.

Dragon Spirit Shop:

An online spirit shop is now open for anyone to purchase items to show your team spirit. This shop will remain open until Friday, September 30 (please allow about 3-4 weeks after the shop is closed for the items to come in), and please share this link with all family and friends.

Football:

We will be hosting games for our 4th, 5th and 6th grade teams this weekend, here are the time:

Sunday, 9/25

• 4th @ St. George 12:00
• 5th @ St. George 1:00          
• 6th @ St. George 2:30

Cross Country:

The cross country team will be holding a time trial this weekend at Highland Road Park as they prepare for the Dragon Dash Race they are hosting next weekend on October 1. 

Intramurals:

The boys and girls in Kindergarten and 1st grade are learning fast and having fun with t-ball. The practice tomorrow, Friday,  9/23 is 4:30-5:30 and then again on Monday, 9/26, 4:30-6:00.

It was a great week and weekend to be a Dragon!! Congratulations to the 7th & 8th Grade Girls Basketball teams for winning the Our Lady of Mercy Tournament, and also to the boys cross country team for placing 1st in the Brusly Invitational. The swim team had their first meet where 4 school records were broken, and there were also many wins in regular season matchups by our football and girls basketball teams! Keep up the hard work Dragons!!

Swim Team:

The second meet of the season is this Saturday, September 24 at Crawfish Aquatics. Warm ups begin at 11:30 am and meet starts at 12:00

The St. George 6th-8th Girls Basketball tournament begins next Thursday, 9/29. The theme this year is 80s “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun”!! Make plans to come out and support the girls, look for the schedule in next week Dragon Tales!
