Food and Nut Allergy Awareness:

As we prepare for Kings Day on January 6th, please review the allergy policy for St. George School below.

Our school is committed to the health and safety of all students. In an effort to meet the needs of those with severe and/or life-threatening food allergies, we ask for the cooperation and compassion of every member of our school community.

To demonstrate good stewardship and love of neighbor, we ask that parents and students follow these important guidelines:

• Do not bring loose nuts to school at any time.

• All food sent to school must have a label on it unless it is fresh fruit.

• Food items with labels that say the item “contains or may contain nuts/nut particles/nut butter” may be eaten in the cafeteria only. All other times when food is eaten, the label cannot contain those statements, but can say, "made in a facility with nuts."

• Snacks must be in their original packaging with a label.

• Remind children not to share food with classmates.

• Alert the school if your child has a diagnosed food allergy so that appropriate care plans can be developed.

• Support allergy-safe events by bringing only approved treats to classroom parties and school functions.

By following these practices, we help create a safe and welcoming environment for all students.

Hallow App Subscription

We are excited to announce that our school has partnered with Hallow, a Catholic meditation and prayer app, to provide your student with a free Hallow subscription to help your family strengthen your prayer life this year. Hallow can either be downloaded from the app store or can be accessed at www.hallow.com. It is the perfect addition to your family’s faith life during this Advent season. You can find many resources that will enrich your entire family’s faith journey.

Grades 1-2: Parents can access Hallow by using your child’s school email address and the temporary password of hallowed. Your child’s email address is full legal first name.last name@sgstudent.org

For example: John Smith - John.Smith@sgstudent.org

Grades 3-8: Students have logged into Hallow during religion class. Please ask your child to show you how to login so that your family can use these excellent resources during the Advent season.

If you have any problems logging into your child’s school Hallow account, please reach out to Mr. Sean Marcantel at sean.marcantel@sgschoolbr.org.

City of St. George Planning Survey

The new City of St. George is seeking feedback from its stakeholders that will be used in the future planning of the city. Since our school is within the city of St. George, you are invited to complete this survey. The deadline for completing this is Friday, December 19th. You are welcome to share this survey with others who might be interested in the planning of the city of St. George.
