The Catholic Diocese of Baton Rouge is providing parents and students the opportunity to participate in the Protect Young Eyes Presentation.

Adults can attend the adult presentation on February 20th and 21st.



More details on topics and content covered for each grade level will be provided on

Sunday, February 18th.

Presentations for students will be made across the Diocese and will be at St George on Wednesday, February 21st.

If you have any concerns about the topics covered and prefer your student not attend, please contact Janie Hooper, janie.hooper@sgschoolbr.org (Kindergarten - 3rd)

After the presentations, at-home discussion questions will be sent home for you to continue the conversation as a family. We hope this information is helpful for our parents and students.

Teacher Appreciation week is approaching, and its time to show our teachers how much we

appreciate them! Throughout the week Home and School provides many treats on the behalf of

all the school families. 

Parents can donate money* to help provide these treats, which includes:

Monday - Breakfast in the lounge 

Tuesday - Lunch buffet in the lounge  

Wednesday - Small gift placed in all teacher’s boxes

Thursday - Luncheon for all of the teachers in the KAC with 6 cash door prizes 

Friday - Snacks all day in the lounge 

Students can show their appreciation by providing the items below throughout the week: 

Monday - Give your teacher 50 cents (the Coke machine in the lounge is 50 cents)

Tuesday - Special Teacher’s Day (please bring small surprise to the art, computer,

Spanish, guidance, music, library, PE or religion teacher that your child has that day)

Wednesday - Give your teacher a favorite snack or fruit

Thursday - Give your teacher a recipe, note, card, and/or prayer

Friday - Give your teacher a school supply

Boys Basketball

The Developmental League is winding down and ends this weekend. Congratulations to all of the teams for competing hard throughout the season!

The Monday and Tuesday we return from Mardi Gras break will be our 8th grade rose ceremonies.  Monday, 2/19 we will celebrate our 8th Grade Varsity players at 7:30 and Tuesday, 2/20 we will celebrate all of our 8th Grade JV players at 6:30. Make plans to come out and support these 8th grade boys at their last home games!

An informational email was sent out to parents of all 3rd-8th graders with details for our spring intramural lacrosse program. If you did not receive the email please contact Ashley Bourgeois.
