Activity Class Requests (Online) - 6th- 8th Graders (2022-2023)
The end of the school year is coming to a close and it is beginning to look a lot like summer! Even though things are coming to a close soon, it is important that we stay focused on finishing strong to be prepared for the next school year.
One of the things that you get to do as middle schoolers to plan for next year is selecting your activity classes. You will have an entire week to do this and the scheduling window will be from Monday, May 9th to the following Monday, May 16th.

It is important for you as middle schoolers and your parents to take this initiative in making sure you choose the classes you want for next school year in RenWeb. All incoming middle schoolers have the information about what classes are offered to them posted on their Counseling Google Classrooms, so please refer back to it if you still need help deciding what activity classes to take. The students are encouraged to sit down with their parents to complete this process.

6th-8th Grade (2022-2023)

Instructions for Requesting Activity Classes for 2022-2023 School Year

(Online Scheduling will be available from Monday, May 9 – Monday, May 16)

Below are the instructions for using Ren Web to access your request for next year’s activity classes. Please be aware that you will choose 6 activity choices. Of those 6 choices, you will receive 4 activity classes. Activity class lists are computer generated. Classes may be limited by parameters such as when the class is offered and enrollment size. A student’s choices are not always guaranteed.

  • Log on to the Parents Web of RenWeb between Monday, May 9 – Monday, May 16.
  • Once logged on, select Student Information in the left-hand column.
  • Under Student Information, click on Course Request.
  • Select the name of your middle school student at the top of the page.
  • You will use the drop-down boxes to select your 6 choices. Do not duplicate choices. This will not guarantee that you receive a particular class. In fact, it will hinder receiving the choices that you want.
  • Once you have chosen your 6 activity choices, click the save button. The screen will read “Course Requests Updated” at the top of the page. Do not click the save button until you are sure that you have chosen the classes that you want. You cannot go back and change that classes once scheduled.
  • Once saved, your course selection will remain visible while the system is online (between May 9 - May 16). If the courses have not been saved, the drop-down boxes will be blank.

Once the system is closed, (after May 16) you will no longer be able to view your student’s choices in RenWeb.

Any student who has not selected their activity choices by this date will be scheduled last, based on availability. After the scheduling window closes and the school year ends, scheduling will take place over the summer and you will not be able to know your class schedules, with activity classes included, until the start of the 2022-2023 school year begins in August. So if you want your classes selections, it is imperative that you follow the scheduling directions above to avoid any unwanted scheduling issues, like the school scheduling your activities for you. If you have any questions or concerns about the activity scheduling process, please contact Ms. Lanata, the 4th through 8th grade school counselor, via email or phone call.
