Principal's Message

Dear St. George Parents,

It was a wonderful first day of school for the 1st - 8th graders, and it was also a very typical first day of school. Some students were excited, and some were hesitant. Morning arrival was great and dismissal was a challenge. Some routines went smoothly, and some did not. We will learn from today and move forward tomorrow.

All in all, I saw many happy faces today and heard lots of friendly chatter. We are off to a great start!

Cafeteria News - My SchoolBucks Information
Enrollment is easy!
 
1.     Go to www.MySchoolBucks.com or download the mobile app and register for a free account.

2.     You will receive a confirmation email with a link to activate your account.

3.     Add your student(s) using:
a.    School District:  Diocese of Baton Rouge Child Nutrition Program
b.    School Name:    Choose the Diocesan school your child attends
c.     Student Info:      Full Name, DOB and/or student ID # (optional)

4.     Make a payment to the students’ accounts with your credit/debit card or electronic check.
A program fee applies. You will have the opportunity to review any fees and cancel if you choose, before you are charged.

Parent / Student Contracts
On Monday, August 10th, parents will receive a paper copy of the following documents:

  • Parent / Student Handbook Contract

  • Covid-19 Waiver

  • Technology Acceptable Use Policy

The documents will be sent home with the youngest or only child in each family. Signed documents must be returned to the youngest or only child's homeroom teacher by Wednesday, August 12th.
REMINDERS
Child Protection Certification
Please return hard copies of all volunteer certification paperwork to the school office. Emailed paperwork cannot be accepted. Contact Susan Giles - [email protected] - if you have any questions.
Volunteers must become certified by completing all requirements by September 11, 2020.
