Students who have not received a pink slip in August are awarded an Out-Of-Uniform day on Thursday, August 10th.

Gift Card Drive for Hurricane Laura Victims

GIFT CARD DRIVE

TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 9th
The Diocese of Baton Rouge, in collaboration with the Diocese of Lake Charles, are requesting gift card donations to assist the residents of Lake Charles affected by hurricane Laura.

Due to an overwhelming amount of items being donated and no infrastructure in Lake Charles to receive and distribute supplies, gift cards will be collected so those in need can purchase perishable and nonperishable items now and in the upcoming weeks.

We are asking for any denomination from a national chain store such as Walmart, Target, Home Depot, Lowe's, Shell, Exxon, etc.

*Please mark the amount of the gift card on the card itself so the recipient will know the value of the gift card.

Bus Rider Survey - Parents of Bus Riders, Please Note!
EBRPSS buses will begin providing bus service to the public schools on September 14th and, as a result, St. George bus service will be affected as of September 14th. If the state continues to be in Phase II, bus capacity will continue to be limited to 35 students per bus and additional buses will not be provided. 

In an attempt to be proactive, we are asking for the following form to be filled out for each child assigned to a bus route. If you do not plan on using bus service, please note that on this form so we have an accurate count of those needing service. Anyone needing bus service will then be considered for placement on a route. 

Please be aware that even if you are assigned to a bus route and have received services through September 11th, this does not guarantee that you will be assigned to a spot on the bus after September 14th.

Club News
Calling all Dragon Hearts Club and Divine Mercy Girls! 

Please join us at Mass on Saturday, September 5, 2020 at 4:00pm - Mother Teresa was canonized on September 4, 2016 by Pope Francis, and as such, we celebrate the Feast Day of St. Teresa of Calcutta on September 5, 2020. 

We are extending an invitation for all Dragon Hearts Club and Divine Mercy Girls to attend this mass and receive a special blessing.  Girls should wear their DHC shirts, and will sit with their families, following the social distancing guidelines designated in Church.

REMINDERS
VOLUNTEER CERTIFICATION - IMPORTANT!!

HERE is a link to the school website with the certification information.

  • RETURNING VOLUNTEERS must update their certification by watching the new online video entitled Serving Vulnerable Populations and sign a new Code of Ethics Acknowledgement Form.

  • NEW VOLUNTEERS must complete all requirements, including a background check.

Please return all hard copies to the attention of Susan Giles in the main school office. Emailed paperwork cannot be accepted. Deadline is September 11.
