Drainage Construction Carpool Update

Continue to watch for email updates and pay attention to the carpool line for changes.

Back Carpool Parents, Please Note
:
With construction affecting our carpool area, we appreciate everyone’s help in keeping the line moving smoothly. Please pull forward as far as possible to help us fit more cars off Kinglet Drive and keep the line moving.

As a reminder, cell phone use is prohibited in the carpool line. Please stay attentive and ready to move forward when space opens up. This small step makes a big difference in keeping carpool safe and efficient for everyone.

Thank you for your patience, cooperation, and help as we navigate construction!

Book Fair Update

Our Book Fair was a huge success, and we couldn’t have done it without you! Thank you to everyone who stopped by and shopped, supported our students, and helped make the fair so special. A huge shout-out to all of our amazing volunteers who gave their time and energy to make it all happen. We are so grateful for our wonderful school community!

Because of your incredible support, our school library will be able to utilize over $9,000 to purchase new books and materials for our students! We are so grateful for a school community that continues to invest in our readers and help our library grow. ❤️📖

And the great news is that our Book Fair remains open for purchases throughout the school year! You can continue to shop and support our school library and our students all year long.

Update: Socking It to Childhood Cancer Stewardship Project

Our Dragons truly socked it to childhood cancer! Thanks to the incredible generosity of our St. George School community, we raised an amazing $5,511 to support childhood cancer awareness and families affected by this important cause.

The best part was seeing our students come together for our Sock It to Childhood Cancer Walk in the gym. Students who donated at least $1 had the opportunity to walk, cheer each other on, and celebrate the difference they were helping make.

We are incredibly proud of our Dragons and their big hearts, generous spirits, and willingness to help others. Thank you to every student, family, and supporter who made this project so special!

What a wonderful reminder that when we come together, we can make a BIG difference! 💛

Lunch Visitor Details and Sign-Up Link

The K-8th cafeteria will be open to lunch visitors on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays of regular schedule school days. The PreK cafeteria will begin welcoming visitors at a later date, when the PreK students are completely adjusted to their school routines and developmentally prepared to handle visitors coming and going.

We are excited to extend this invitation to our school parents, but due to limited space, only one parent visitor can attend per quarter and the following guidelines must be adhered to so we can accommodate all parents who wish to eat lunch in the cafeteria.

Parents who wish to eat lunch with their child must:

  • Sign up on the Sign-Up Genius posted in Dragon Tales before Monday at 12:00 noon.
  • Only those parents who have signed up are allowed to visit the cafeteria.
  • Due to space, one parent visitor is allowed per quarter. Please do not sign up for more than one visit per quarter as this blocks other parents from signing up.
  • When signing up, include whether you will purchase a plate lunch from the cafeteria or bring something from home so the cafeteria can plan accordingly.
  • If you are not purchasing a cafeteria lunch and are bringing food into the cafeteria, the Child Nutrition Program does not allow food that is wrapped or marked with commercial/fast food labels in the cafeteria.
  • For safety reasons, siblings are not allowed.
  • Because this is a special time for parents to be with their child, parents and their child will eat together at the designated visitors’ tables/spaces. Other students must stay in their regular seat assignments.
  • Upon arrival, parents should sign in at the school office and receive a visitors pass. Parents should walk directly to the cafeteria when their child’s lunch time begins. When lunch is over, parents should walk directly to the office and sign out.
  • Parents should not follow students to the classroom or activities after lunch.
  • For the privacy and safety of students, cell phones are not allowed to be used on campus for personal reasons. You can take a picture with your child, but it must be outside or without other students in the background. Please enjoy this cell-phone free time with your child. We hope you enjoy this time together with your child and appreciate your cooperation and willingness to follow the guidelines above.

Lunch price - $ 6.30 (check only) - No lunch charges for parents that forgot their checks at home.

Thank you.

Please visit the Child Nutrition Program website for information regarding meal prices, free/ reduced meals program, student meal accounts, and payment options.

Please note that according to the LA. School Food Service Policy Guidance Manual, outside restaurant food and soft drinks are not allowed in the school cafeteria. Your compliance is appreciated and necessary.
