A Note from Laura
What a difference a month makes! Just a couple of weeks ago, our staff was busily planning for Holy Week services, spring formation programs, and other details for the future.

Rest assured the staff misses you as much as you miss St. Margaret's. Fortunately, we live in an age where we can still communicate and connect.

The Revs. Peter and Patti lead a virtual service on our Facebook pubic page each Sunday at 9:00 a.m. I will send out in advance a bulletin to use through Realm (email) so you can follow along. Both of these are available on our website homepage at

Our Facebook public page will also be the place where staff will be posting a variety of prayers, meditations, music notes and other items of interest throughout the week. Posts will appear around 8:00 a.m., 2:00 p.m., and 8:00 p.m. every day. On every other Tuesday evenings at 8:00 p.m., we will be live-streaming a beautiful compline service for you to join us (which can be found on page 127 of the online Book of Common Prayer at www.bcponline.org. ) All of this can be found on our website homepage which now has our Facebook public page feed embedded into it (towards the middle, on the right.)

We also have a YouTube channel at www.youtube.com . Our name is "Saint Margaret". Once you access our page, you will see the recordings of Sundays that we did all the way back to 2011! It's kind of fun to view that all again.

Our neighborhood group leaders will be checking with their assigned parishioners periodically to see if you need anything. In the meantime, you can email any staff member throughout the work week who will be working from home. From Peter -- As much as possible, please refrain from visiting the office. I’ve dedicated one or two persons only to come by the office most days, but otherwise I’ve instructed staff to stay home until we can be together again. Should you need to reach us, contact us on Realm, through email, and for parishioner emergencies ONLY, please contact our pastoral emergency line at 443-837-5463.

Try to use our new Realm database system . You can access contact information for other parishioners you need to get a hold of, check your giving total, and communicate to a group leader or class with any questions.
Our Prayer for the Week

Be present now to people who need Your loving touch because of COVID-19. May the victims feel Your power of healing through the care of doctors and nurses.Take away the fear, anxiety, and feelings of isolation from people receiving treatment, who are under quarantine, and who are staying in place. Give all of us a sense of purpose in pursuing health precautions and protecting others from exposure to the disease. And please bless the victims, infected persons, and their families and friends. Amen.

Here are links to information about ways to help our community during this time:

Sewing for a Cause
For those of you who sew, parishioner Michelle Mullen who works at Baltimore-Washington Hospital has told us that they are in need of "scully caps" for medical personnel.

If you make some, you can leave them on the shelf in the narthex and we will make sure they get to that hospital. Thank you!

Giving to St. Margaret's

If you give on Sundays, please don't forget us during this time.

It's never been easier to give to St. Margaret's!

Virtual Hymn Sings Coming Soon
I n the coming weeks, we will live-stream some virtual hymn sings. We will stream them through Facebook like we do for our Sunday morning services. Everyone is encouraged to submit their favorite one or two hymns and/or songs from the Third Sunday Band. Please include your name (or family), name of the hymn, and a sentence explaining why it’s a favorite, and forward along to Jim at  music@st-margarets.org . Thank you to those parishioners who have already submitted. We hope to have a list of more than 100 to choose from. We will announce the dates and times soon so that you can tune in to see if your hymn is picked at random. Plus, we will throw in some requests made live during the livestream through the video’s comments function. Stay tuned!
