Counselor's Corner
Dear Parents,
Happy November!  Our November Counseling Newsletter Life in the Middle focuses on Middle School Friendships and Kindness. We hope you find it useful Life In The Middle - November.  We have included important dates for the end of the semester.  Please let us know if we can help with anything.

Schedule Change Requests for 2nd Semester
CMS Counselors will accept elective schedule change requests for 2nd semester Tuesday-Thursday, Dec.  3-5 .  Students can request a schedule change for electives using a Google document.  We will accept elective change requests for 2nd semester starting at 8:00 a.m, Tuesday, Dec. 3 until 4:00 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 5.  In order to be fair to all students, we will not be able to accommodate any requests made via email or in person.  The link will be available on the CMS Webpage under the Counseling Tab.

Keeping with the "Go Green" idea, we will not be printing their 2nd semester schedules for them to view.  Students will need to access their schedules for 2nd semester through Student Access.  We will print them for the 1st day of second semester.

Thank you!

Community Activities
After a 15 year partnership between  Christmas is for Children and Kroger, Corporate at Kroger said we can no longer distribute/collect food at the store.  Which means a significant loss in food donations for CIFC.  We typically feed 1200-1400 families and we are worried we will only be able to feed 700 families. These families depend on IFC during the holidays.

If your business, school, organization, family can help in creating a food drive/collections, we would be so thankful.  Also, if anyone has a connection with a refrigerated truck we need that as Kroger has let us use theirs in the past.  They also gave us a price break on turkeys, milk and bread-so if you have a contact for that we can use that would be great.

Below is a link to a google form if you would like to do a drive. If you want to do it the old fashion way and contact me to get everything arranged, that works too.  Christmas is for Children Food Donation Form
