Please be advised; Your drain line is connected vertically to your neighbors up and down the tower. Therefore, be mindful of items you choose to flush down the drain, as you may indirectly cause substantial damage to one of your neighbor's many floors away. 

If a blockage in the common drain line occurs, all exiting drain water from above that point will take the path of least resistance and potentially back up into someone else's home.

Most importantly, contact the Waldorf Astoria Engineering Department if you notice slow draining water in any fixtures. An outside plumber can be called for same-day service to professionally snake the drain. This is relatively inexpensive and could help avoid very costly damages caused by a blackwater flood.
