The People's Climate March
in Miami
 
On October 14th, Dream in Green's staff participated with over 1,500 people in the People's Climate March to demand politicians and South Florida community leaders to take action on climate change.  Children, students, parents, business leaders, artists, farmers, scientists and dozens of organizations including Dream in Green staff and Board members showed up. This has been Miami's largest public demonstration regarding climate change. Learn More
Miami Youth Tackle World Climate Project in Miami

The Frost Science, Dream in Green, Upward Bound Program, and Breakthrough Miami have joined forces to implement the World Climate Project to benefit students from middle and high schools in Miami Dade County and build awareness of climate change. The Project provides resources to organizations to lead people in thought-provoking, mock-UN events that simulate the United Nations climate talks to be held later this year in Paris.   Learn More
  
DIG Teachers win Spirit of  Service-Learning Award
 
Six teachers --winners of the Dream in Green 2015 Innovation in Education Award-- were recognized by the Returned Peace Corps Volunteers of South Florida for integrating service into the curriculum to improve learning and foster lifelong civic engagement among students.  Learn More
The Dream in Green Academy's Programs Launch

Dream in Green kicked off its 10th year on Sept. 23, 2015 with a Professional Development Training Workshop to which over eighty K-12 teachers and administrators attended. The workshop provided teachers information and equipped them with tools to allow them to achieve their green goals. Learn More
The Climate Reality Project Creates 1,200 New Leaders 

Dream in Green's staff and Board members had the opportunity to attend The Climate Reality Leader Training. The 3-day event featured former U.S. Vice President Al Gore and dozens of guest speakers experts in climate change and environmental issues.  Learn More
