DIG Hosts its First Annual Eco-Hub Competition
 
Dream in Green (DIG) is holding its first annual "Eco-Hub" competition whereby three $5,000 grants for elementary, middle and high school students are at stake. The submissions are in, a panel of judges has been formed and six schools have been chosen. On February 4th, 2017, the student Green Team members of the chosen schools will present their ideas to the judges at the Miami-Dade STEAM ExpoThis event is free and open to the public.   Learn More

Seeking New Program Partners for The Academy Expansion

DIG launched The Academy during the 2015-2016 academic year due to concerns about overwhelming teachers with too many independent programs. The Academy provides a platform that promotes collaboration between community organizations for the introduction of environmental education programming at K-12 schools. Key Biscayne Empowers the Community through Education & Collaboration

Key Biscayne is a barrier island off in Miami which is very susceptible to the impacts of climate change. There are many unique plant and animal species that are found on the island which are dependent on healthy shoreline environments and clean water. DIG Teachers Win the  Spirit of Service Learning Award
 
Four Green Schools Challenge and WE-LAB School teacher champions won the 2016 Spirit of Service-Learning Award. They were honored at the Miami Beach Botanical Gardens for integrating service into their curriculum to improve learning, address community needs and foster lifelong civic engagement among students.
