Citizen Science PD


Dream in Green will be hosting a teacher professional development on how to integrate citizen science opportunities into the classroom. Teachers will have a chance to learn from several experts on different citizen science platforms and visit the Frost Science Museum!

The Teach Climate Network's three-day climate change education conference is built by educators and climate change professionals from across North America! Dream in Green will be hosting Day 3 leading a cohort of Florida educators!

LEEF Spring Mini-Conference

DIG Team - Environmental Leaders

Veronica Silva is passionate about nature, education, and art. You can see these passions in her work as an Educator at the Zoo Miami Foundation, a biology tutor for FIU college students, an artist, and a certified Wilderness First Responder. She chose this internship opportunity because she is excited about combining science and art to make graphic designs for science communication and engagement. 

A Florida native, Veronica is currently earning her Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences with an Undergraduate Certificate in Environmental Studies and a minor in Art History at Florida International University.

Leanna Navo is from Denver, Colorado and is a junior triple majoring in Ecosystem Science and Policy, Geography and Sustainable Development, and Spanish at the University of Miami. She has had an unwavering passion for the environment since middle school. From leading her high school's Eco Club to currently serving as the chair of ECO Reps at her university, she tries to bring the green wherever she goes! Leanna is elated to take on a position that gives her a platform to spread awareness about a topic she is most passionate about.

Design & Build Competition


Join us this Saturday, March 15th for our Annual Design & Build Competition! High school teams will present their 3D models of their designs incorporating nature based solutions and green design.

Earth Week Challenge


The Earth Week Challenge is a one-week challenge for students to practice living sustainably and fight climate change. Thousands of school children in Florida & beyond take this challenge annually during the week of Earth Day in April. The program is designed to be fun and easy for teachers to facilitate in their classrooms using a fun video and lesson plan for each day of the week.
