April Show- Rosita Orndoff Musical Freestyle Award

It is a great honor to grant the Musical Freestyle Award in the name of Rosita Orndoff. Rosie, a lifelong lover of music, began playing piano and dancing as a child. Her affinity for the arts blossomed when she met her husband, Joe, who was the band director for the U.S. Navy during WWII. Her love of music flourished over the years, culminating with a great passion for Dressage Musical Freestyle which was sparked while attending horse shows with her daughter in Florida.

In Dressage, we often judge ourselves on what we have done incorrectly. Yet Rosie’s memory reminds us that we too should emphasize what we have done right; that with the bad also comes a greater good.

Rosie’s love for music, gentle spirit, and uncanny ability to see the good in people and in life, has inspired us to offer this award in her name. We know that emulating her approach to life will uplift the common good of our horses, our friends, our family and beyond.

A $100 cash award will be presented to the High Point Amateur or Young rider competing in Training Level thru 2nd Level in a Musical Freestyle.

A $100 cash award will be presented to the High Point Amateur or Young rider competing in 3rd Level thru Grand Prix in a Musical Freestyle.

A $100 cash award will be presented to the High Point Open rider competing in 3rd Level thru Grand Prix in a Musical Freestyle.
