Danielle Steiner's Interview with Conrad Schumacher
|
Excerpt from Danielle Steiner's interview with Conrad Schumacher:
The biggest thing that Conrad stressed was the need for trainers to take responsibility for their riders and ensure that the riders are trained properly and getting the horses to ride and learn on. This is the backbone of the Bereiter and Master program within Germany. There is the understanding in Germany that the masters must develop every rider under their care. How well their riders do is a great reflection on the master's training and mentoring.

LVDA Dressage4Kids Benefit Show
|
The Lehigh Valley Dressage Association and the Bucks County Horse Park co-sponsored a schooling show on April 13th and were able to raise over $1,000 for Dressage4Kids.
The weather cleared up just in time for the first rides and participants were treated to a warm and sunny day as nearly 80 tests were ridden from leadline to Grand Prix, including Prix Caprilli. Judges Lisa Schmidt and Lauren Annett provided great feedback for the riders who were able to try out the new tests in a fun environment. We also welcomed more than 25 volunteers who helped make the entire event run smoothly.
Thank you to Jen Koch, LVDA, BCHP, the judges, riders, and all the volunteers for teaming up to support D4K!

Emma Smith Scholarship Report
|
I got the chance to spend the winter in Wellington, FL working and training with some client horses as well as my own 2 personal horses. My education was greatly enhanced due to the generous scholarship I received from Dressage4Kids to work with my trainers Olivia Lagoy-Weltz, Betsy Steiner and Sarah Travis. I got to take lessons on 6 different horses over the course of the winter and I learned so much from my lessons.
