Fall 2018
A Message from the Dean
The beginning of a new academic year is certainly a time for looking forward. But with this issue of the College of Engineering Newsletter, we'd like to take a quick look back so you can see what we've been up to in the past few months. I am thrilled to have taken up my new role as Dean of the College. You may have questions about my plans; perhaps some of them will be answered in this Q&A story , which recently appeared on our website. Speaking of websites, the College rolled out its re-imagined website earlier this month. We think it looks great - clean, more navigable, and more visually appealing. Why don't you take a look by visiting it at drexel.edu/engineering ?

This newsletter features exciting stories about astronaut/alumnus Chris Ferguson and his latest spaceflight adventure; Dr. Yury Gogotsi's publication achievements; a new drone software startup; urban green infrastructure research by one of our PhD candidates; and many others. Happy reading!

Best wishes,
Sharon L. Walker, PhD
