Drip GRIP Announcement
Good morning, all!

If you are receiving this e-mail, you are a part of the Oklahoma Water Resources Board's Water Quality Standards e-mail list.  I want to provide an update on the progress of the 2016 triennial revision to the Oklahoma Water Quality Standards (OWQS).  The revisions have been approved by EPA and are now available on the OWRB website ( http://www.owrb.ok.gov/util/rules/pdf_rul/current/Ch45.pdf).   Following is a link to our 2016 rulemaking documents that outline the substance of the revisions ( http://www.owrb.ok.gov/util/rules/wqs_revisions201516.php).    Changes are detailed in staff reports as well as presentations made during various informal stakeholder meetings.   As a reminder, changes to the OWQS included:

  • Revisions to certain aquatic life criteria found in both the main body of OWQS as well as Appendix G.
  • Creation of a Sensitive Water Supply - Reuse classification in the antidegradation policy.
  • Revisions to certain waterbody numbers, beneficial uses, or antidegradation classifications in Appendix A.
  • Revisions to waterbodies in tables 1 and 2 of Appendix B.

As always, if you have any questions, please let us know!  Hope everyone is having a great spring!

Sincerely
Monty Porter
