Arrowhead Upcoming Work Session and News
As of now we are planning on a winter season. There will probably be some changes in procedures and capacity restrictions. Have not finalized guidelines yet.

Work sessions will be; Saturday October 31st  and  Saturdays going forward, starting at 9:30, put in whatever time you want.  Would like to clean up and inflate tubes, brush sawing, putting up fences, putting up signs, install lift handles and putting out picnic tables.

Would like to get multiple people to do brush sawing and tube maintenance, this will take multiple weeks. If you have other days available we can arrange for you to help out most any day and time.

Also need help on mechanical equipment and lifts for maintenance and repairs.

Please think about volunteering this winter. As for operational help, we need help on the lifts, in the ski shop, ski and snowboard instructors, first-aid and in concessions.
Arrowhead also needs organizational people both upfront and behind the scenes. For club officers, board of director positions, public relations, marketing, grant research / writing and other areas.

If you or if you know people who would like to volunteer at Arrowhead please get in touch with us.

Community Conversation About Working Lands in the Claremont and Newport Region
Monday November 2, 6:30-8 pm
Join Vital Communities, Land for Good, Beaver Pond Farm, and the Upper Valley Land Trust to talk about the working lands that feed and sustain our community in a virtual forum "Community Resilience through Local Food Security.”

The pandemic has highlighted the critical importance of local farms and working lands. Hear about our land challenges and successes and learn about land access tools from Land for Good. Connect with your neighbors as we break in smaller groups to talk about the nut and bolts of increasing productive farmland in the region, how to increase resilience through local food security, and how farms are adapting to the many challenges. Sullivan County News
In a way to help show off our region, one of the projects I’m collecting pictures for is to highlight on county war memorials and to display these in a video on our Sullivan County New Hampshire Government Facebook page and through the video banner of pictures on the website www.sullivancounty.gov  during Memorial Day weekend 2021.

Yes, lots of advance planning πŸ˜Š as I hope to collect pictures capturing all our New England four seasons! If you have, or know anyone who has, pictures that would be great for this project, please feel free to send the pictures to [email protected] with info about where the memorial is located and who took the picture.

P.s. War memorials are not the only pictures we would enjoy receiving. If you have other scenic views of the region, don’t hesitate to share those, too. Thank you.
