October was a busy and exciting month for E-PASS, filled with community connections across Central Florida. On Saturday, October 18, the E-PASS team joined UCF fans for their Homecoming game against West Virginia. On October 25-26, the team was at the Mount Dora Craft Fair in historic downtown Mount Dora. Attendees stopped by the E-PASS booths to pick up giveaways, learn about the benefits of E-PASS, and enter for a chance to win special giveaway baskets featuring a free KnightPass or E-PASS toll sticker and Uni. These events were full of energy, and to top it off, UCF celebrated a 41–28 victory over West Virginia!
Looking ahead, you can find E-PASS at several community events in November:
- Fall Fiesta in the Park at Lake Eola Park on November 1–2
- UCF Space Game against the Houston Cougars on November 7
- UCF Men’s Basketball Game vs. Vanderbilt on November 8
Stop by the E-PASS booth to meet the team, grab giveaways, and learn how E-PASS keeps Central Florida moving.
| | CFX Urges Teen Driving Safety | | |
Teens aged 15-19 make up just 5% of licensed drivers in Florida, but account for over 11% of crashes. Our young drivers have so much more road ahead of them – we want them to stay safe and reach their destinations.
As part of our ongoing effort to enhance safety, CFX actively encourages parents to talk with their teens about the critical rules of the road: always wear a seat belt, avoid distractions like cell phones, obey speed limits, and never drive under the influence. October 19-25 marked National Teen Driver Safety Week which CFX observed in partnership with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and other agencies.

International Organization Honors CFX Safety Program
The International Bridge, Tunnel and Turnpike Association (IBTTA) awarded the Central Florida Expressway Authority with the prestigious Safety Award for its Drive Smart Florida
campaign.
Drive Smart Florida was built on the belief that lasting safety starts with understanding why we drive the way we do — and inspiring people to make better choices, not through fear, but through empowerment. Designed as a series of targeted campaigns, it focused on three key behaviors that cause most crashes on our expressways — maintaining safe following distances, merging responsibly, and staying alert in work zones.
Partnerships with Florida Highway Patrol, National Safety Council and media allies such as WFTV helped amplify this campaign’s message to the community.
