A Message from our President:
Vehicles for Change is 20 years old. It seems hard to believe that 20 years ago we awarded our very first car in Carroll, County Maryland. 20 years later we have grown to the largest low income car ownership program in the country assisting more than 6,700 families achieve financial and personal independence through car ownership!

So, what better way to celebrate our 20th Anniversary than to help 20 more families reach these same goals? Continue reading to learn about our upcoming event, "20 for 20!"

Sincerely,
Martin "Marty" Schwartz
Our Mission at Work
Vehicles for Change is pleased to have awarded numerous families vehicles this month! Learn about a few of our recipients:
Ms. Danita Green lives with her son, age 11, in Woodstock, MD. She works as a secretary in a pediatric office, a commute which can sometimes take her up to 2 hours by public transportation. This year her son had to miss multiple basketball practices, simply because Danita had no way to get him there on time. Thanks to her new vehicle, that will no longer be the case!
Ms. Amber Flowers is a single mother of three children - two boys and a girl - who resides in Baltimore, MD. Amber does the best she can to get her kids to school and herself to work on time, but that became an extreme challenge for her when relying on inconsistent public transportation. She is also legally responsible for her sister who has dementia, and often has to take her to the doctors to ensure she's receiving the care she needs.

With her own transportation, life will be a lot simpler for Amber. She's looking forward to getting to where she and her family need to go ON TIME!
Earlier this month, we had the pleasure of participating in Advance Auto's ribbon cutting ceremony for their new location in Severn, MD. At the event, we proudly awarded a vehicle to Ms. Terraina Smith.
