Dear Friends,

I want to share some photos and some amazing drone footage I received after completion of the complex installation of my mother's hanging starbursts at the Wilson Center in Wilmington NC. 

According to Zachary Pluer, Senior Managing Director of the Wilson Center, "We are SO THRILLED with how it turned out. It's truly breathtaking and we are so humbled to be part of your mother's legacy and cherish each piece in our space." 

In addition to hanging Starbursts and the Rockefeller Center Gold Panels with Ribbons" are also on extended loan from the Dorothy M. Gillespie Foundation. (See photos below)

As some of you know my mother’s sculpture titled "Entrance to the Enchanted Castle", 1993 (14’ 7” x 15’ 30”) has graced the Wilson Center Lobby and has been seen by hundreds of thousands of visitors since the building's opening in 2015. (See photos below)

"Festival of Sound" was recently donated by the Dorothy M. Gillespie Foundation to Cape Fear Community College in the Wilson lobby. (See photo below)

“Entrance to the Enchanted Castle” by Dorothy Gillespie. The 15-by-15-foot sculpture is on loan from the Cameron Art Museum, and ties the CFCC Wilson Center aesthetically to Thalian Hall, which has its own Gillespie sculpture, “Colorfall”, in its lobby a few blocks away.
