Drone Test Flight held in Williston

Williston Herald - The Northern Plains UAS Test Site conducted demonstration flights at the former Sloulin Field International Airport as part of the state’s Unmanned Aircraft Systems network. Williston officials joined team members from Northern Plains and Vantis, North Dakota’s statewide unmanned aircraft systems network, at the former Sloulin Field hangar for the demonstration. “It’s a pretty historic day for Williston,” said Williston Economic Development Executive Director Shawn Wenko. North Dakota's Enplanements increase in October

News Release - During the month of October, North Dakota’s eight commercial service airports posted a total of 47,574 passenger boardings which amounts to 47% of the passengers that the airports experienced during the same month last year. This is also the highest monthly demand in airline passengers that North Dakota has experienced since the pandemic began last Spring. Read More

UND Today - Research engineers in UND’s Institute for Energy Studies have been working with Wellspring Hydro for four years on a process that extracts valuable chemicals from wastewater produced by the oil and gas industry in North Dakota’s Bakken shale formation. The Williston-based company plans to build a facility – a rendering of which is above – in Williams County that will provide 60 jobs and tax revenue for the state and county. Deadline for HERG Applications December 4

The North Dakota Department of Commerce has announced that the Hospitality Economic Resiliency Grant (HERG) application will begin on Nov. 20 at 10 a.m. CST and will close on Dec. 4 at 5 p.m. CST. “As we continue to navigate and adapt to the COVID-19 pandemic, the state of North Dakota remains committed to finding solutions to help alleviate the impacts on businesses while mitigating the spread of disease,” Gov. News Release – Santa’s visit to CHI St. Alexius Health will look a little bit different this year. Visitor restrictions are still in place at the hospital but we still want to give back to the community with a bit of holiday spirit!
