Holiday Food Baskets
Thanksgiving Food Drop-off Day is November 10th
How can we help our neighbors in need?
We collect food -- enough for 100 families for both Thanksgiving and Christmas..

This coming Sunday is drop off day for Thanksgiving Food Baskets. For shopping lists, see below.

This about the ways you can get involved. You may choose to ...
  • join with someone else to sponsor a family.
  • donate money for gift cards. This is important as grocery gift cards are provided for each family so they may purchase fresh food items.
  • volunteer by making phone calls.
  • bake cookies or wrap presents.
  • offer hospitality, shop, or check baskets.
  • donate food by placing it in the shopping cart.
  • donate money and let the basket committee do the shopping for you.

Growing in Gratitude 2020
It’s been a year of blessings running over, with more to come! Advancing and sustaining God’s work through Our Savior’s depends on your generous financial support, volunteer hours and prayerful care.
Please consider making a Plan for Giving 2020 . There are many ways to give, from Electronic Funds Transfer through Give +, cash or checks, credit and debit card on our website or at church on the square. Please bring your Plan for Giving 2020 on Sunday, Nov. 24, 2018 or mail it to the church office. The Church Council is hosting EveryOne for a Thank You brunch after worship.
However you choose to give, we pray that it will be a joyful response for all that God gives us.
Change for Change
Change for Change teaches kids in a tangible way how our giving helps others. Now through December, our kids are collecting coins to buy animals for needy families through the ELCA’s God’s Global Barnyard. Our Family & Friends Gathering folks are participating too—connecting kid to kid, so to speak. Will you share some of your Change Jar? Look for the bucket at Our Savior's.

Do You Love to Garden?
This past Saturday, the regular Our Savior’s volunteer Grounds Crew was aided by additional volunteers to load another dumpster’s worth of leaves, cuttings and weeds to be hauled to Cedar Grove Composting for composting and recycling. In recent years the Grounds Crew has captured a lot of carbon by recycling nearly 90 tons of Our Savior’s yard waste.

The crew works a couple of hours per week, and they are looking for (younger) people who enjoy garden work and who don’t mind getting their hands dirty. If that sounds good to you, please contact crew leader Lloyd Townsend at 425.259.5257 for more information.

Amazon Wish List for Children's Ministry
We are excited to bring forward a lot of really great things for kids on Sunday mornings at Our Savior's! We are needing to stock items to create toolkits for children who remain in worship, build a prayground in the sanctuary, replace old items in the nursery and the Littlest Lutherans Lookout, as well as build up our Godly Play space. To make this happen, we have put together an Amazon Wish List. Peruse the list and select items you’d like to purchase, and they will be sent directly to Our Savior’s! Your gifts will help us make church more accessible to children of all ages! Anything helps, and we thank you for supporting the children of Our Savior's Lutheran Church!

To shop, just click on the Amazon icon below.
(n) A place for religious children, primarily Christian, to experience their faith in distinct ways that engage all senses.
There’s new excitement over including young children in worship. The Children, Youth, and Family Ministry Committee has been working to set up a “ Prayground ” in the sanctuary. With soft surfaces, soft toys, and a location near the front, toddlers and young children with their parents can learn, grow, and make connections with other worshippers. Children are a vital part of the community and we’re glad for the commitment to provide a special and safe space for these youngest ones and their parents. Would you like to help? Check out the Amazon Wish List { link here } and consider contributing an item to bring the Prayground to life.

The photo below is another example of a Prayground
Kids aged 0-4 years are welcome in the Nursery during both the 9am and the 11am services.

Lindsey Snyder at is looking for volunteer helpers.

Need Help with Wheelchair, Walkers and Scooters?
  • Look for the designated spaces reserved for wheelchairs and scooters on the level floor along the stained-glass walls.
  • We can bring Holy Communion to you if you'd rather not navigate the aisle.
  • We can help fold and park walkers between the pews and keep the aisles clear.

We want to make sure EveryOne can participate, feel included, see the screen, enjoy the company of family and friends in worship. The ushers can help guide you to these areas.
EveryOne is Welcome
Our Savior's is a Welcoming Community. We affirm with the apostle Paul that in Christ "there is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female" -Galatians 3:28. Christ has made us one. We are committed to extending this welcome to EveryOne without regard to gender identity, sexual orientation, race, age, socio-economic status, disability, political association, marital status, education or ethnic origin. God's reconciling love in Christ is at work in EveryOne.
