Please join us at the 'Fairfax Prevention Coalition Community Focus Group-Providence District'
The Goals of the Coalition are to:
• Decrease the number of those who are using alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs
• Increase perception of personal harms caused by alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs,
• Collaborate with community partners to address underage drinking and substance misuse, and
• Conduct assessments to examine substance abuse issues present in our community.
Topics to think about prior to the focus group are:
• As a community, what is needed to address drug use/misuse among the youth, young adults, adults and older adults in the community?
• Where are the increases and decreases in use of alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs?
• How is the community getting prevention education information?
• Are there areas that should have increased prevention services?
• How prevalent are problems with impaired driving in the community?
