The Governor’s overarching guidelines for Phase 4 include the following:  

What this phase looks like?
There is a continued decline in the rate of infection in new COVID-19 cases. Hospitals have capacity and can quickly adapt for a surge of new cases in their communities. Additional measures can be carefully lifted allowing for schools and child care programs to reopen with social distancing policies in place. Restaurants can open with limited capacity and following strict public health procedures, including personal protective equipment for employees. Gatherings with 50 people or fewer will be permitted. Testing is widely available, and tracing is commonplace.

What's open?
Gatherings: All gatherings of 50 people or fewer are allowed with this limit subject to change based on latest data & guidance

Travel:  Travel should follow IDPH and CDC approved guidance

Health care:  All health care providers are open

Education and child care:  P-12 schools, higher education, all summer programs, and child care open with IDPH approved safety guidance.

Outdoor recreation:  All outdoor recreation allowed

Businesses:
  • Manufacturing: All manufacturing open with IDPH approved safety guidance
  • “Non-essential” businesses: All employees return to work with IDPH approved safety guidance; Employers are encouraged to provide accommodations for COVID-19-vulnerable employees
  • Bars and restaurants: Open with capacity limits and IDPH approved safety guidance
  • Personal care services and health clubs: All barbershops, salons, spas and health and fitness clubs open with capacity limits and IDPH approved safety guidance
  • Entertainment: Cinema and theaters open with capacity limits and IDPH approved safety guidance
  • Retail: Open with capacity limits and IDPH approved safety guidance

Risk Metrics


IDPH has released County Level COVID-19 Risk Metrics for local level awareness of the counties during Phase 4 of Reopening IL. This information will help local leaders, businesses, local health departments, and the public make informed decisions and promote healthy behaviors.

  • Blue indicates that the county is experiencing overall stable COVID-19 metrics.
  • Orange indicates there are warning signs of increased COVID-19 risk in the county.

COVID-19 Drive-Thru Test Site
A Step-by Step Video Tour
The DuPage County Health Department has created a new, enhanced, short step-by-step video explaining what to expect when going through the testing procedures at the new DuPage County Drive-Thru Test Site. This video will describe the efficient process from beginning to end as well as provide helpful information to visitors so that they know how to prepare before their visit. Some of the information covered includes, how to access the test site, the information visitors will be asked to provide and the steps on how to perform the self-administered nasal swab test. DuPage County Testing Site Information
DuPage County is offering community-based COVID-19 testing at the DuPage County Complex. The entrance is located on County Farm Road a few blocks North of Roosevelt Road at a stoplight. Follow the signs through the campus to the test site.

Testing is free but limited tests are available per day. This is a drive-thru testing site where individuals will give themselves a nasal swab test with instructions from staff. 

Hours of Operation
7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Tuesday - Saturday 
( all cars must arrive by 2 p.m. to be tested and site may close earlier if daily test capacity is met)

Testing Information and Resources


Who Should Get Tested
Anyone should get tested, regardless of symptoms or other criteria. 

Definition of Symptoms
Symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure to the virus. People with these symptoms may have COVID-19:
  • Fever or chills
  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • Fatigue
  • Muscle or body aches
  • Headache
  • New loss of taste or smell
  • Sore throat
  • Congestion or runny nose
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Diarrhea

What to Expect During Your Visit
Due to the demand for this service, we anticipate there could be significant wait times associated with these drive-thru community-based testing sites. Please be patient. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, you are urged to call your doctor or emergency department to seek immediate care and instructions.

Only people who arrive in a cars will be allowed to be tested. People will need to remain seated in their car at a working window (window must go up and down). Once in line at the CBTS, you will not be permitted to exit your car. Bathrooms are not available on-site. For the safety of the testing personnel, the drive-thru sites will not be accept walk-up individuals. 

We cannot accommodate vehicles:
  • With windows that do not function
  • That are not self-contained (e.g. convertible with top that will not close)
  • With trailers
  • With a dog
  • With occupants that cannot sit at a window that rolls down
  • Buses

To support privacy of those at the site, photography and video are not permitted.

Waiting for Your Results
You will receive a phone call from (469) 498-0222 with your results within 3 to 4 days of your test. If you have not received your results after 4 days, please contact Reditus Laboratories at (469) 498-0222.

As you wait for your results, if you are ill, stay in touch with your doctor. Keep in mind your symptoms may be due to another condition that requires prompt evaluation and treatment. Stay at home except for medical appointments. Call ahead before visiting your doctor. As much as possible, stay in a specific room and away from other people and pets. Pillars Community Health
COVID-19 Testing in Willowbrook

Pillars Community Health is offering drive-up testing for coronavirus outside of Anne M. Jeans Elementary School in Willowbrook.

Limited tests available; appointment required; please call 708-PILLARS (708-745-5277) .

Testing is available on Tuesdays 9 am-Noon and Thursdays from 9 am-1 pm to anyone with symptoms of COVID-19; or anyone with a known exposure to COVID-19 (have been in contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19); or asymptomatic, high-risk patients, first responders, health care workers, or essential workers who wish to be tested.
