Dublin Unified School District Welcomes Two New Principals
Meghan Boriskin to Lead Murray Elementary and
Joy Inouye-Scarpinato to Head Dougherty Elementary
Dublin, CA - April 27, 2018 - During the Dublin Unified School District Board of Trustees meeting on April 24, the Board announced that after an extensive application process, it had unanimously selected Meghan Boriskin as the new Principal of Murray Elementary and Joy Inouye
-Scarpinato as the new Principal of Dougherty Elementary. Both
educators will step into their new roles at the
beginning of the
2018-2019 school year.
Joy Inouye-Scarpinato is currently the Principal of Walnut Heights Elementary School in Walnut Creek, CA. She began her teaching career in the Antioch Unified School District, where she spent five years teaching 1st and 3rd grades before moving to Murwood Elementary school in Walnut Creek. Since 2005, Ms. Inouye-Scarpinato has held various positions in the Walnut Creek Elementary School District, including classroom teacher (1-4 grades), ELD Coordinator, Instructional Coach, and Interim Principal. Ms. Inouye-Scarpinato holds a Master of Education degree from St. Mary's College of California.
Meghan Boriskin is currently the Assistant Principal at Amador Elementary in the Dublin Unified School District, a position she has held since 2015. She also worked as a K-12 Instructional Coach across the Dublin Unified School District and as a 3rd Grade Teacher at Dougherty Elementary. Prior to her work in Dublin, Ms. Boriskin held various teaching positions in the Forest Grove School District in Forest Grove Oregon. A graduate of the University of Oregon, Ms. Boriskin holds a Master of Education degree in both Teaching and Learning and ESOL.
