SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) Updates
American Rescue Plan Act of 2021: A variety of actions taken recently by USDA to strengthen food security, drive down hunger, and put a greater emphasis on the importance of nutrition. The American Rescue Plan Act provides over $12 billion in new nutrition assistance to address hardship caused by the pandemic
  • P-EBT has been extended for the duration of the public health emergency
  • Extending a 15% increase in SNAP benefits through September 2021

The MGF Farm Share is perfect for vegetable lovers and people interested in trying new fresh vegetables.

  • The Full share is recommended for a small family (about 4 people). The Full Farm Share includes an array of at least $50 worth of Morning Glory Farm products each week.
  • The Half share is recommended for a couple (about 2 people). The Half Farm Share includes an array of at least $25 worth of Morning Glory Farm products each week.

CSA members will receive weekly emails with what to expect in each CSA share and recipes for how to use the produce
Pickups are on Tuesdays 3-6 pm or Fridays 3-6 pm.
The first possible pickup will be June 1st, 2021 (Tuesday) and June 4th, 2021 (Friday)
SNAP customers will agree to pay $150 per month in SNAP benefits for a full share and $80 per month in SNAP benefits. HIP will put the SNAP dollars you spend on HIP produce back onto your EBT card instantly. Once the money has been put back on your EBT card, you can spend it at any SNAP retailer like always.

If you are interested in using your SNAP benefits to purchase a CSA share, fill out this form and either email it to [email protected] or mail it to Morning Glory Farm (120 Meshacket Rd, Edgartown, MA 02539) before May 17th.
  • The Mobile Market is coming back for another season. The schedule is still in the works and should be out soon!
  • Summer Lunch Program is being expanded from 6 weeks to 10 weeks this summer. More information will be available soon.
First Market is June 12th 
The West Tisbury Farmers Market will be accepting SNAP benefits this summer. All vendors will accept SNAP by using tokens. Check-in with the information tent for more information on how to use your SNAP benefits at the Market!

The VTA will now be stopping right next to the Agricultural Hall for easy access to the Market.
