The Dumas Wesley Community Center was recently awarded a Spire grant in support of its After School Achievement Program (ASAP).

This gift will allow Dumas Wesley to continue providing FREE after school programming for local at-risk youth. The ASAP offers Sciences, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics (STEAM) opportunities, academic support, recreation, special events and a free meal program. Thanks to the support of corporate partners like Spire, the ASAP can carry out its mission to equip young learners with the leadership skills, confidence and tools necessary to achieve success both in the classroom and in life. Last year, ASAP and summer recreation participants enjoyed 473 hours of extracurricular activities and 4,619 nutritious meals.
