Melissa Bevan - Chair of DCPIC

As we continue to celebrate our Community of Faith, DCPIC remains committed to providing opportunities for parent engagement across our Board.

As such, we invite you to save the date for two upcoming events. The first is a virtual family STEM workshop with Mad Science on March 31, 2022, and the second is the annual DCPIC Volunteer Awards which will be a YouTube premiere event on Sunday, April 24, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. Further details can be found in the newsletter below.

During the month of February, we like many organizations across the country, celebrate Black History Month. As a Catholic learning community, we are committed to promoting equity and inclusion in all our schools and workplaces by recognizing the diverse backgrounds of all members of our community.

DCDSB has created the following webpage and resources to provide students, families, and community members with additional information on the history, culture, and influences of Black Canadians. Please visit the Black Excellence, Celebration, History Lives Here webpage for further information.

As the Lenten Season is beginning with Ash Wednesday this coming week on March 2, 2022, I invite your family to participate in our family Lenten craft activities. We have compiled printable colouring pages, an Easter word search, resources and family crafts with brief instructional videos. Please click here to visit our DCPIC Lenten Activities webpage.

If you have any questions, please email me at [email protected].

Yours in Faith,

Melissa Bevan
