PARKING AND STREET INFORMATION
 The market is located at 501 Foster Street in The Pavilion at Durham Central Park. 

Parking can be found on the street around the market, in the parking lot on the corner of Hunt and Foster Street (across from Rise Durham and Urban Durham Realty), in the Ballpark Parking Lot on Corporation Street, and in the Measurement Inc. lot, 423 Morris Street (look for the Durham Farmers' Market parking sign). Handicapped parking is available near the corner of Hunt and Foster as detailed in the map above.

There are also public parking lots along Foster Street and on Morgan Street near the Carolina Theatre.

Wednesday Afternoon Market




Wednesday afternoon markets are back! Catch us every Wednesday from 3:00-6:00pm at Durham Central Park from April-October. Make it a part of your regular weekly shopping list and stop by for local produce, meat, honey, eggs, cider, backed goods, flowers, kids programming, and more.



If you like to shop local at the market, but without quite so many crowds, the afternoon market is for you! Take your time chatting with vendors, picking out the very best fruits and veggies, and enjoy the sun, social district brews, and free lawn games in the park while you're here

It’s time to sign up for our 2023 CSA! Join us for a fresh, colorful, nutritious future bounty.

What is a CSA? CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. It is a farming model based on developing a direct relationship between farmers and their community. A weekly box of lovely seasonal veggies ( and strawberries!) is the glorious result. This is an opportunity to support a farmer by purchasing in advance the most seasonal and successful crops available while acknowledging that some crops will not always work out with the endless variables at play. The good news is, we grow so many different things you may never notice our secret failings.

The CSA will run April 12th through July 26th (16 weeks). Like last year, we are offering a Home Delivery option and 2 pick up sites in Durham (West Durham and South Durham). Each cheese is distinctive for a cheese board or for cooking; we're happy to give suggestions.


  PASTURED BEEF: Ground Beef and Beef Kielbasa are available. Our kielbasa has little pork added for extra flavor. Simmer the kielbasa gently to cook and serve on a bun or add to greens on polenta. Make a cheeseburger with our Hickory Grove cheese.



  WHEY FED PORK: Pick up sausages for the weekend. We'll also have Bacon, ground pork, and Smoked Ham hocks for BBQ beans. Grill some Bratwurst or add Hot Italian to a pizza with our Fresh Mozzarella.

Mario and his helper are closing down the field so the crowns can rest until next spring. Both the harvester man and crop need a break!   Come early to get the last of it.  The organic sugar snaps and snow peas are also coming to a close to make room for the summer type vegetables you have been asking for.  Only about another week of organic strawberries also... get them while you can ... and make your homemade jams and jellies.

The strawberries, asparagus, and peas are slowing down in yield. However, the late May crops are being harvested, such as the new crop of Texas sweet onions and new baby arugula and lettuce mixes. A new planting of Swiss Chard will be harvested for the first time this week. The "summer" head lettuce, tomatoes, squash, cucumbers, okra, etc. have been planted along with many cut flower plants.

Bonlee Grown Farm returns this weekend to observe Memorial Day. We will bring many Patriot Red geraniums in both pots and hanging baskets. We will also have small American flags available to go in the pots for those who plan to decorate tables or graves in honor of their fallen family. 


Pickle special: this week, we are highlighting both our Sweet Crunchy Pickles and our Bread and Butter Pickles. For those who plan to observe the holiday with a gathering of family, friends, and neighbors—these pickles pair perfectly with burgers at the cookout.

Jewels of Health Farm

Jewels of Health Farm, owned by Julius Griffin, is a 180 acre farm in Louisburg, N.C. His main crop is heirloom watermelons, including white, yellow, orange, red, and pink varieties, as well as heirloom tomatoes, herbs, and ginger. He uses all parts of the fruit except the outer skin to create delicious and healthy cold pressed juices.

Piedmont Microgreens

Piedmont Microgreens is an indoor farm located just four miles from the farmer's market! We specialize in microgreens, which are the youngest stage of vegetable crops. Microgreens are great because they're beautiful, tasty, and packed with nutrients. We will be bringing the following microgreens to the market: sunflower shoots, pea shoots, nutrition mix, salad mix, a farmer's choice, and a few specialty varieties, like cilantro, dill, and onion! The nutrition mix is a blend of broccoli, cabbage, and kohlrabi microgreens, while the salad mix is a blend of sunflower shoots, buckwheat, and kale microgreens. The farmer's choice will be a revolving blend of what inspires us each week.

Botanist & Barrel crafts real southern ciders, sours, and dry fruit wines. We are the South's only natural cidery focused on spontaneous and wild cultures. We craft healthy adult lifestyle beverages for every occasion. We support our local farmers using local sustainably and organically sourced fruits, including blueberries, apples and more from our no spray estate farm. Only tree ripened apples are used in our ciders with a focus on traditional southern heritage cider apples. All of our ciders and wines contain little to no residual sugar and are low calorie. As an experimental winery we have almost no rules with the exceptions being we never fine, filter or pasteurize any of our ciders or wines.

Wild Scallions
