As 2020 comes to a close and we set our sights on a brighter year ahead, I want to extend my deepest appreciation for your extraordinary contributions to UCSF.
This year has challenged us in ways we couldn’t imagine—a global pandemic, social and political upheaval, significant financial challenges, and a severe wildfire season. Each step of the way, I saw our community rise to and embrace the challenges, committed to shaping a healthier and more equitable society.
The highlights of the past year are too many to count, as you quickly pivoted to provide patient care, research, and education in new and innovative ways. I am inspired by your adaptability, tenacity, creativity, and empathy in advancing our mission every day.
